Rosary Makers:
This ministry is dedicated to spreading devotions to Our Blessed Mother and promoting world peace. The rosary supplies are ordered from Our Lady’s Rosary Makers (OLRM) located in Louisville Ky. Upon completion, some of the rosaries are distributed locally where needed and the majority is returned to OLRM for distribution to foreign missionaries in countries such as Africa and India. Members meet the second Monday of each month in the Parish Life Center between 9 AM and 10 AM. The rosaries are made mostly at home at their convenience. If interested in joining this rewarding ministry, please call the Parish office.
Small Christian Communities:
Each group participants choose from a selection of books that have been reviewed and approved by our Pastor to study and discuss at their meetings. The members decide on the venue for their meetings as well as the date, time and length of their gatherings. You are invited to join an ongoing group or start a new one.
Young Adults:
We are in the early phase of creating a Young Adult Ministry. This is a coordinated effort with other churches in the deanery to begin this ministry to work with young people who have graduated from high school until mid-20s. This will be a blend of faith discussions and social activities to currently take place on the 2nd and 4th Wednesdays of the month at various locations. For more information, please contact the Parish office.
Youth Group:
Our group is comprised of youth in grades 6-12 and all are welcome to join any youth group activity. Our normal meeting times are from 7 – 8:30 PM on the first and third Wednesday of each month in the Parish Life Center. During our regular meetings, we play games, participate in team-building activities, learn more about our Catholic faith, and hang out with friends. In addition to our regular meetings, the youth group helps with various church activities and participates in different things such as decorating the church grounds for Christmas, collecting food for the food pantry, presenting the Living Stations of the Cross each Lent just to name a few. Most of our members are active in one or more ministries in the church.
While we have several adults who chaperone our activities, all our meetings and retreats are planned and run by our team of peer ministers. Our peer ministers are young people who have received confirmation as well as additional special training that allows them to effectively lead our youth group.
